TItle: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer

Objective: Provide proactive technical assistance to clients by identifying and resolving product issues, provide timely and accurate test results and information to clients. Read and interpret Electromagnetic standards and regulations, conduct technical training, and quote projects.

Major Roles & Responsibilities:

Offers resolutions with the aim of enhancing client satisfaction and improving relations.
Understands and interprets standards for testing methods. Reviews contract requirements to assure adherence to client requirements and coordinates testings between labs.
Evaluates products tested for quality and safety issues.
Prepares samples for testing methods and records and evaluates test data.
Conducts testing of samples using prescribed testing methods.
Prepares and reviews written technical reports.
Calibrates, operates, and maintains testing equipment and supplies, lab cleanliness and analytical instrumentation.
Maintains current regulations and standards.
Makes recommendations for testing and inspections.
Provides interpretations for compliance, requests, and testing issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiar with basic electronics and testing experience with oscilloscopes, soldering irons, spectrum analyzers, and amplifiers
Knowledge of EMC/Electromagnetic Compliance testing for consumer products.

Experience and Educational Background:

2 year degree in a technical engineering electrical or electronics related discipline
5 -10 years of electrical testing experience Electrical - EMC and/or EMI testing experience
5+ years of direct customer - vendor - client interfacing and business support
4 year degree is preferred
