VCU Health Systems Neurophysiology Labs is seeking a full time End Tech II. This person performs routine electroneurodiagnostic procedures using established protocols and procedures in a clinical lab, inpatient and epilepsy unit setting including EEG, AEEG, and EMU. Specialty procedures performed are Polysomnogram, Wada Testing, EP, NCV testing, as well as intraoperative monitoring of EEG, EP, EMG and NCV procedures. Serves as the technical resource for the END Tech I. ResponsibilitiesTakes initiative to acquire and maintain knowledge base.Participates in conferences and technical training.Weekends and holiday coverage for the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and STAT EEG procedures. Qualifications RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalentAmerican Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoke Potential Technologist (ABRET) registry in at least one (1) AMA approved electroneurodiagnostic fieldCurrent CPR certificationMinimum of 1 year of basic medical, patient care related experienceExperience and proficiency in two (2) electroneurodiagnostic modalities (e.g. EEG, AEEG, EMU, Polysomnogram, etc.) PreferredGraduate of Electroneurodiagnostic Program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education ProgramTwo (2) or more years of work experience in electroneurodiagnostic lab setting
