Currently, we are seeking an Engineer III/IV, Process for our Neenah, WI location.
Process Engineers at Kimberly-Clark initiate design, develop, optimize and problem solve manufacturing processes in a manner that meets safety, quality, and operational performance expectations.
The Process Engineer for this role will provide engineering support on a business support team within the Tissue (Family Care) Research and Engineering organization. The individual will be expected to provide clear technical support to the various R&E teams and mill operating teams relative to the design, setup and operation of our Facial Products tissue converting and manufacturing equipment.
The incumbent reports to an Engineering Manager and receives direction in the form of broad assignment objectives from a Program Leader. Key customers include R&E project teams, Product Supply teams including the mill engineering, maintenance and asset teams, global procurement, and external equipment manufacturers/suppliers. Candidates should have expertise across multiple technologies and must have demonstrated ability to effectively interface with a broad range of team members
Responsibilities:
li Provide process engineering support for Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) programs within the Facial Products Manufacturing and Converting asset base.
li Provide functional leadership and creativity in the initiation, design, development and optimization of tissue manufacturing and converting equipment and processes to meet unit objectives.
li Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance and other personnel.
li Seek, recognize, define and solve problems/ opportunities to achieve unit objectives. Identify complex technical issues to determine root cause.
Qualifications:
li A BS or MS in a related Engineering field or 10+ years of practical experience.
li Strong knowledge and background in high speed paper making processes and equipment, and demonstrated ability to translate knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements.
li Minimum 8 years work experience or relevant PE internship/co-op experience is desirable.
li Proficient knowledge of paper making processes is a requirement.
li Ability to provide innovative contributions in a team environment
li Effective Communication Skills with the ability to discuss technical issues in a business environment (mill technical and operations resources, suppliers, management, etc.).
li The ability to adapt to rapidly changing business priorities and assignments.
li Application/Results orientation with primary focus on problem definition and generation of alternative solutions.
