Facility: IU HEALTH LA PORTE HOSPITAL at La Porte
Department: Environmental Services
POSITION SUMMARY
Cleans all areas of the hospital and associated facilities by performing the following duties:
Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.
Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
Completes work assignments in a timely manner.
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
Uses and maintains equipment properly.
Maintains patient/employee confidentiality
Reports maintenance, safety and infection control issues on worksheet.
Wears the appropriate personal protective equipment.
Handles general & biohazard waste
Replenishes supplies in closet.
