NJVC has a current opening for a Network Engineer supporting the I2S team. The Network Engineer candidate will be part of the customer team that is responsible for the design, development and operation of environment(s) that support the analysis, coordination and dissemination of the community's most sensitive data IA Certification Requirement:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
- Job Functions and Responsibilities:
The candidate will perform a full range of complex network designs encompassing multiple technologies within a single network. Evaluates new network technologies and makes recommendations to project management regarding the integration of these technologies into the existing network. The candidate will also be responsible for planning new configurations for integration into the network to insure effective integration and optimal network performance; preparing technical proposals for adding new technologies to the network and presenting those proposals to the ISG engineering review board; and performing a full range of upgrades to the existing network architecture. The selected candidate will also be expected to make proposals for upgrades to existing network configurations using knowledge of the performance characteristics of the systems being upgraded and the specification for network interfaces to insure effective integrations and optimal network performance. Implement and utilizes complex network analysis tools to identify and correct problems in the network.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Other Certifications and Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, testing, and deployment of switches, routers and encryption devices, as well as the maintenance of the equipment. The qualified applicant will diagnose and resolve complex technical problems and perform O&M activities. Furthermore, the candidate will be expected to perform strategic planning and emerging network technology investigation. Responsible for creating and following standard processes, plan independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency. The selected candidate should provide technical insight in addition to assisting in planning network architectures and designs. Applicant must have a working knowledge of the agency's policies and procedures relating to the design, upgrading, operating, and maintaining networks. Job RequirementsEducation, Skill, and Experience Requirements:
BS degree in a technical discipline (i.e. IT Engineering, IT architecture, or IT security) and a minimum of 21 + years of hands
-on technical experience. Experience with designing, implementing, analyzing and troubleshooting LAN and WAN technologies. Hands
-on knowledge and understanding with implementing and configuring the following network protocols:
TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF Hands
-on knowledge and experience configuring access control lists (ACLs) on applicable network devices. Hands
-on knowledge and experience implementing tools to automate managing, monitoring, analyzing, and troubleshooting the enterprise network infrastructure. Hands
-on experience with implementing using TACACS. CCNA and ICSA certified. Experience in the operations and maintenance of servers and networks required. Proven recent experience with the installation of Microsoft and UNIX (Solaris 9 & 10) operating systems necessary. Experience in network administration, network domain controllers, Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, CiscoWorks, TACLANE, network monitoring technology, network encryption technology, and switch network technology is required and must be demonstrated in candidates credentials in order to be considered for the opportunity. Candidates must prove recent experience with installation, operation and maintenance of network equipment from various vendors including CISCO and HP Blades running on multiple level systems native network. Must be able to maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor firewalls. Ability to utilize complex network analysis tools to resolve complex network performance problems. Experience with Roundtable, secure network enclaves, multiple security levels, interconnectivity in multiple level systems, and operations and maintenance of several production networks Thorough understanding of OSI Layers 1
