ERP Business Analyst Position Description This candidate will be responsible for supporting the agencies in preparing for and implementing the Advantage Financial ERP system. Activities will include business process analysis, defining agency tasks, providing tools/information to assist agencies, support system configuration including conversion and interfaces, coordination of agency activities, receiving and responding to agency questions, risk and issue tracking, agency status tracking, cutover planning, and production implementation support through the full system development life cycle. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and co-workers to support agency activities, coordinate agency and project meetings, and support agencies in completing required tasks to successfully implement the commercial off-the-shelf system. Business Analysts are responsible for some of the following tasks: - Lead/participate in sessions to review and document existing business processes and requirements - Assess requirements vs. baseline system offerings to identify and document fits versus gaps within the new application - Recommend business process improvements that minimize potential application changes - Work with end users to refine business practices to ensure alignment with application processing- Provide support to agency staff in completing functional and technical activities required to implement the system - Provide support to the agency testing team in validating agency configurations conversion, interface, and reports- Coordinate agency involvement and track agency status - Facilitate production cutover preparation activities - Provide effective post-implementation support - Provide status reports to team lead and monitor the timely completion of their assigned tasks Essential Skills: - 3-5 years' experience as an IT business analyst- 3 years of ERP and Financial Management experience or similar implementation experience- Public-sector experience on large IT projects- Experience implementing and deploying systems- Experience in production cutover- Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task - Ability to work effectively, independently, and within a team environment under tight timelines - Experience working with application development teams - Experience in client-facing roles- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel - Effective written and verbal communication - Self-motivation, intelligence, and curiosity are key qualities - Ability to Travel to client site as needed Desirable Skills: - Familiarity with SharePoint or similar collaboration tools - PowerPoint and ProjectFollowing would be a plus:- Advantage Financial knowledge- Financial, Accounting, Procurement, Cost Allocation, and Billing experience- Project management experienceRequired Education:- Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, project management or a related field*LI-TM1 Your future duties and responsibilities Required qualifications to be successful in this role At CGI, we're a team of builders.
