Newsday is looking for the ideal candidate that will be responsible for accurately processing advertising paginated pages and products while coordinating the workflow to successfully deliver completed pages to the printer in adherence with established deadlines. Responsibilities include preparing and moving files into the pagination system and effectively communicating with Editorial, Advertising, Information Systems and Production management. Responsible for providing excellent service to both internal and external clients of Newsday Media Group Shopper products. As a member of Newsday Media Group s team provide dedicated efforts to produce and deliver the best product possible.

Perform all relevant pagination tasks using the Newsday Media Group Shopper s pagination system, and other technologies as required. Maintain good technical knowledge of the pagination process. Participate in job related training as necessary learning Newsday pages and other products. Establish and maintain good working relationships and strong lines of communication with Editorial and Advertising staff to meet deadlines and provide the highest level of quality customer service possible. Perform related tasks and communicate with the Information Systems department to document any system problems or improvements. *Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.
*Knowledge of newspaper layout preferred.
*Candidate must have good communication, decision-making, documentation and organizational skills.
*Ability to handle multiple projects within a deadline driven environment.
*Excellent reasoning, problem solving, judgment and analytical skills.
*Ability to work effectively with interdepartmental teams.
*PC knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Mail are required.
*Demonstrated MAC skills (Quark, Illustrator, PhotoShop) are a plus.
