JOB DESCRIPTIONUrban Decay Cosmetics is seeking an Education Manager to join our team in Newport Beach, CA.
The Education Manager will work with the VP of Field Sales to develop and manage creative training programs and tools for the Urban Decay Open Sell field force and retail partner trainers, designed to increase retail sales and brand awareness internationally.
Develop projects for the education department and be the main connection with the sales team on all of their education endeavors, including but not limited to the following:
* Provide presentations, formats, and tools that would be needed for the trainers to conduct successful training seminars.
Develop internal and external training videos.
Develop train the trainer sessions for our retail partners to help them successfully train Urban Decay in their environment.
Manage other educational initiatives such as the execution of new store trainings and new training programs for Core doors.
Adapt programs for new retailers as needed to meet the needs of their unique business models.
Create and manage the training programs schedule and keep the field informed of all new developments:
Be the liaison for the field sales/ training team on all of their training negotiations and scheduling initiatives with our retail partners corporate offices and our internal teams including retail marketing, creative and sales.
Assist the field sales/ training team in the preparation, execution and follow-up of all training initiatives that they are conducting.
Successful employee should be adaptable in using their organizational skills to prioritize tasks and opportunistic in taking ownership of various projects. Have the urgency to anticipate busy schedules and teamwork to communicate with other members of the department/store to complete assignments on time and accurately. Possess openness in their problem solving and integrity in their research to effectively address the needs of the company. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:
5+ years experience in sales education and program development for beauty/ retail/ luxury cosmetics & managing multiple projects as necessary
This person needs to have experience in assessing the needs of a sales organization and creating targeted educational programs for field force/ retail personnel that meets the needs of the business, propelling it in a direction dictated by the corporate goals.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS OR REQUIREMENTS
NORMAL OFFICE ENVIRONMENT MAY OCCASIONALLY LIFT AND/OR MOVE UP TO 25 POUNDS.
Education/Experience/ Licenses or Certificates:
Degree and/or years of experience as indicated above based on qualifications
Computer skills required: PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, Adobe writer / reader (IPad/ mobile e-learning a plus)
