JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Permanent position for an Electrical Design Engineer to work to work with electrical / mechanical systems and its ancillary power and control equipment for medical applications.Understands the hazards and risks associated to the equipment operations.Analyze and comprehend industry and customer specifications to transform requirements to a reliable and cost effective design.Design analog circuits including power supply, amplifiers and sensors.Design digital, microprocessor based circuits with an understanding of the firmware requirements.Design systems in compliance with IEC operating and wiring standards.Participate in design reviews related to assigned projects.Interacts with other disciplines of engineering to guarantee proper interfaces between controls and systems.Attends engineering meetings to ensure task follow-up and coordination with other engineers.Develop product technical specifications and test specifications with the development team.Perform evaluation of circuits and systems for IEC, UL, CE and other agency testing.Understand manufacturing requirements of the products/systems developed and apply Design for Manufacturability and Serviceability concepts to all functions.Assist in component documentation and review of component drawings.Support Manufacturing and Testing departments throughout the project life cycle.Assist in remote support for Field Service and Customer representatives (operator to management level).Understand the markets served by the products an
BS Electrical Engineering required, MS Electrical Engineering desired.Minimum
5 years experience required.Experience performing electronic engineering
work of significant complexity with a high degree of technical competence.Experience
with engineering development tools, such as SPICE, SEE Electrical, AutoCAD
LT, and Autodesk Vault.Familiarity with Rockwell, Eaton, Siemens power
and control products a plus.Good understanding of Design FMEA and Process
FMEA.Excellent technical documentation, communication and organizational
skills.Travel: Up to 10%.
