Global chemical leader in the Augusta, GA area seeks experienced Electrical Engineer to join Engineering team. Provide electricalengineering expertise and support to promote increased plant reliability and maintenance of chemical site facilities.


--- BS Electrical Engineering with 8+ years Plant Electrical Engineering experience in chemical, pulp & paper, refinery, or other process/ PSM related plant environments..
--- Experience in Maintenance Engineering and/or Project Engineering is desirable.
--- US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) is required.

--- Provides troubleshooting capabilities to area maintenance personnel on day to day control and interlock problems in such areas as boiler controls, electrical drives, power distribution, etc.
--- Performs analytical calculations dealing with electrical raceways, voltage drop, feeder sizing, circuit protection, etc.
--- Upgrades and maintains personal competency for latest advances in programmable logic controls and electrical protection relays.
--- Reviews "Management of Change" in the areas of electrical interlocks, power distribution, or electrical components and recommends corrective actions.
--- Develop switching procedures as needed for complex electrical tasks requiring special lockout or isolation measures.
--- Maintain, develop as needed, and revise the power system arc flash model.
--- Engage in and support various site audits as needed from an electrical perspective. This can involve travel to other sites to be the subject matter expert for an audit team
--- Promote and maintain safety awareness and compliance with established safety standards.
--- Supervises, coordinates and manages the execution of Maintenance Engineering projects. May include outside contractors or consultants as well as in-house personnel.
--- Analyze process equipment problems and/or failures and recommend corrective action.
--- Complete project/MOC assignments. Provide guidance, obtain approvals, issue reports and follow up to completion.
--- Maintains timely reports on time logs, project updates and other significant activities.
--- Assists in the maintenance and updating of plant technical and engineering specifications.
--- Provides technical support as needed on Formal Root Cause Failure Analysis, training and support for ODR/TPM efforts and joint walk throughs for plant areas or equipment. Also supports planning and turnarounds of planned outages.
--- Develop and provide technical input for major overhaul scopes for plant equipment and effective preventative maintenance programs.
--- Support warehouse inventory system by providing specifications for parts purchases.
--- Work daily with team members to accomplish plant objectives in areas of safety, reliability, environmental, quality, production, efficiency an cost reduction and innovation.
