Dewberry Engineers Inc. has an opportunity for an entry to mid-level Electrical Engineer to join a growing group of professional engineers in their Boston, MA office. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and have 3-8 years of experience working within a consulting engineering firm.","Design experience in telecommunication facilities, solar facilities, building electrical distribution systems including low voltage, power, lighting and lighting controls and fire desired, pumping systems.
The position requires a strong technical background, excellence in design, attention to detail and quality control, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This position offers the opportunity to establish the framework for enterprise wide processes in the electrical engineering field as well as growth potential.
The ability to work with a range of projects and personalities is critical.
Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree from an ABET accredited university is required.
Applicants should have 3 - 8 years direct experience in related electrical engineering design, communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
Prepare electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements. Serve as the Electrical Engineer on assigned projects. Intimate knowledge of medium voltage systems and equipment is essential.
Proficiency in CAD, Revit preferred and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
Experience in the telecommunications, municipal, water/wastewater and/or solar industry is a plus.
Electrical Engineer with the capability to be licensed in the near future in MA, New England and other states where Dewberry has offices.
LEED AP certification is a plus. Valid Driver's License Background Check is required.
