Electrical Engineer

Broadcast Sports, a leader in providing specialty wireless HD cameras and audio to the broadcast industry, is looking for an entry-level electrical engineer to work with our engineering team on the development of new products and services for our clients. We work in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing requirements, so we need engineers with energy and adaptability.
The successful candidate will design, development, and test of a variety of digital, analog, and RF electronic circuits and systems. He or she will have a strong work ethic, have a desire to learn, and know how to apply the fundamentals of electrical engineering to the job. Products we develop include in-car cameras for NASCAR/IndyCar racing, compact microwave transmission gear, and video processing devices. This custom equipment helps gives BSI a competitive advantage in the marketplace, so time to market and initial product quality is key!

Essential Job Functions
-Perform new product design, product improvements, and test -Prepare concept sketches, layouts, and specification documents. -Prepare basic analysis, test, performance, and schedule information. -Prepare and report on progress, feasibility, and concept studies. -Design tasks may include any of the following: -Digital, analog, power supply, or RF circuit boards -FPGA/CPLD design and maintenance -DSP programming -Embedded C programming -High speed cable design

Education

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or computer engineering
Experience

Required:
- College coursework in: digital design, digital communications, digital signal processing
- 0-1 years of experience related to electrical engineering design

Preferred:
- Prior internship(s) or work experience related to electrical engineering design

Knowledge/Abilities/Other Characteristics

Required:

- Proficient in Word and Excel

- Excellent writing and communication skills

- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams

- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
