Job Description

Goodrich ISR Systems has over 50 years of experience in designing, building and testing exceptionally high quality optics and electro-optical systems. The Danbury facility (formerly Perkin-Elmer, Hughes and Raytheon) delivers these high quality systems to customers such as NASA, Department of Defense and commercial customers. The highly skilled team at Danbury produces unique electro-optical payload systems for space as well as special purpose payloads for ground and airborne systems. We are seeking an Electrical Inspector. Basic Duties will include:

* Solder and Conformal Coat Inspection of Circuit Card Assemblies and higher level assemblies
* Witnessing of electrical tests to assure compliance to specification
* Witnessing and inspecting various assembly operations to assure compliance to procedure
* Test Data and Build Book review
* Internal Auditing
* HS Diploma or equivalent
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Inspection role or performing similar Quality Control duties as described including Solder and Conformal Coat Inspection of Circuit Card Assemblies and inspection of higher level electrical and mechanical assemblies
* Current or former certification to J-STD-001 required
* Current or former certification to NASA-STD-8739-1,2,3 and/or 4 a plus
* Able to read and follow Assembly Drawings and Work Instructions
* Computer Literate
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Impeccable attention to detail
* Good near vision, color perception and manual dexterity
* Able to work in a clean room for extended periods of time while wearing clean room garments
* Safety shoes and/or ESD safe shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection and additional PPE as required
* Occasional alternate shift assignments, including weekends, may be required
* Must be able to travel per the guidelines of the Goodrich Corporate Travel Policy
