Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Chemical Processor/Machine Operator in Vergennes, VT! This is a full time, 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm), contracted (3-6 month) position.

Essential Job Duties
. Perform metal finishing (i.e., plating) within prescribed Industry-Standards and internal work instructions.
. Demonstrate familiarity with the manufacturing computer systems to maintain labor and shop order records.
. Maintain manual data collection systems such as Chemical Log Sheets, Statistical Process Control (SPC) forms and charts and Autonomous Maintenance Charts for the purpose of monitoring and controlling processes within each area of responsibility.
. Using laboratory equipment, conduct routine chemistry tests.; including pH, density, and concentration of solutions
. Support operation of the waste water treatment system and treatment tanks by mixing chemicals, pumping sludge, running filter press, replacing filters and operating transfer pumps.
. Perform inspection function for the team as required

Physical Requirements
- Frequent Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent Standing, walking, reaching, handling, gripping, squatting

Basic Qualifications :
. Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
. Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry and retrieval.
. Blueprint and Op Sheet reading and comprehension; understanding of SPC.
. Working knowledge of basic chemistry as applied to plating operations.
. Obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform job.
. Machinist experience helpful
Assist Process Engineer with functions such as Preliminary Material Review activities, failure analysis, maintenance of Op Sheets and development of rework instructions.
Basic Qualifications : - The successful candidate must have atleast a High School Diploma
- Preferred equivalent experience (3-5 years) in assembly/test/inspection of Company hardware.
- Understanding of manufacturing process procedures and how the processes affect the product.
- Preferred PP-5, Mil-Std-2000, lighting and workmanship standards/methods.
