Job Description

We are currently looking for Experienced Engineering professional with electrical background for openings within Honeywell Federal Manufacturing and Technologies (FM&T). Salary will be commiserate with business requirements and candidate experience and technical credentials.The Kansas City Plant is a U.S. Department of Energy, National Nuclear Security Administration facility managed and operated by Honeywell FM&T. Our primary business is to manufacture sophisticated mechanical, electronic and engineered-material components for our nation's defense system. Our goal is to seek innovative solutions that surpass our customers' expectations. To accomplish this, we research, develop, and deploy some of the most advanced design and manufacturing technologies in use in the United States today. This position requires performing engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects by applying standard mathematical, physical science, and electrical engineering technologies. In addition, the position may require solving challenging problems, managing complex projects, using schematics and product drawings to pinpoint problems, building strong customer relationships, utilizing six sigma or lean tools, and knowledge of low level and high level software languages.Honeywell FM&T is on the leading edge of supplying engineering and manufacturing expertise for our nation's defense and national security. This highly visible role will provide you with an opportunity to showcase your technical background and experience. SUMMARY OF DUTIES:This position is generally responsible for assisting experienced Engineers with a variety of day to day recurring task and/or highly technical processes. Also works on medium complexity tasks independently. Follows defined procedures and processes using various equipment in order to complete tasks.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES: * Assembly of electrical and electronic prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
* Modify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviations.
* Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
* Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical instruments or testing equipment.
* Analyze and interpret test information to resolve design-related problems.
* Ability to read drawings and schematics.
* Ability to work in a lab environment using logic analyzers, digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, data loggers, and other similar equipment.
* Ability to work under minimal supervision.
* Ability to gather, analyze, interpret data, and make recommendations to resolve problems utilizing business, technical, and manufacturing wisdom.
