Responsible for calibration, preventive and corrective maintenance of facility instrumentation and control systems, relaying and electrical equipment.

Maintain safe working conditions in accordance with established Company policies.

Identify, report and/or correct unsafe work environments.

Work to logic diagrams, electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches, and other written instructions.

Complete calibration, preventive, corrective maintenance and scheduled maintenance of plant instrumentation and control systems, improve operation of installed systems, instruments, controls, and metering and electrical equipment.

Provide technical support to the operation team for Company installations especially those which include controls, boiler, steam turbine, electrical generation and distribution systems.

Overhaul and calibrate customer metering equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.

Perform electrical maintenance in accordance with all local and national codes.

Troubleshoot and analyze instrument, control, and metering problems and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.

Advise supervisor when work is beyond Company's capability to correct and recommend the need for outside assistance of vendors, engineering contractors, and consultants as necessary.

Maintain records and files of readings and data taken during overhauls and preventive maintenance.

Complete mechanical tasks such as pump and valve repairs.

Perform simple welding tasks.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Be available for plant on-call equipment needs.

Responsible for routinely attending and completing all required training programs.

Responsible for maintaining a positive attitude, professional, respectful and courteous behavior, motivation, initiative, cooperation and participation.

Act as a team member with all employees of ENGIE staff.

Comply with all ENGIE policies and procedures.


Carry out other duties as assigned.


Required to have a home/personal telephone.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the Company auto insurance program.

Capable of frequently standing, walking, balancing, sitting, climbing (ladders, stairs, ramps, catwalks, stacks and the like as required), stooping, squatting, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, lifting (min. 50lbs), feeling, talking and hearing.

Capable of performing repetitive motions as required.

Required to have eyesight corrected at 20/40 to accurately read and interpret such as but not limited to instruments, gauges, and manuals.

Must be physically capable of entering and working in a confined space (crawl spaces, shafts, small enclosed areas, pipes and the like) as required.

Must be physically capable of performing demanding work at various heights and in adverse conditions during operations, shutdowns, and in fire/emergency activities.

Must be physically capable of wearing protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to half and full face respirators, fall protection equipment, hardhat, safety shoes, safety glasses etc.

Ability to pass a respirator physical and respirator fit test (if applicable).

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.


Associates Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology preferred.

HS Degree or GED Equivalent required.

Minimum five (5) years experience in operating or maintaining instrumentation of electrical equipment desired.

Five (5) years experience in the calibration, repair and maintenance of utility, industrial and commercial instrumentation, electrical equipment and controls with a thorough understanding of the principles of control theory.


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to high.

80% of the work is performed indoors and 20% is performed outdoors.
