JOB DESCRIPTION

APPLY
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Works under general supervision of the Maintenance Manager and direction of the Electrical Supervisor.

a) Reads comprehends and is capable of making basic electrical prints and markup for electrical installations;

b) Possesses and uses general knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power requirements of plant; .

c)Keeps up to date on all requirements of national electrical codes, OSHA, and company rules and complies with them;

d)Works on and sometimes supervises others in installation, operations, inspection, maintenance, testing, and location of trouble on all types of electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical equipment;

e)Starts, stops, maintains, and helps install and repair generating and power distribution equipment;

f) Possesses working knowledge of plant's electrical switchboards;

g) Dismantles and assembles electrical motors and allied equipment of most types; repairing cleaning, and replacing parts;

h) Installs and repairs installations of electrical conduit and cable, including connections, controls, grounding, etc;

i) Works from electrical diagrams, manuals, personal knowledge and other materials in troubleshooting and making proper electrical installations;

j) Performs voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter and other electrical tests;

k) Services and enacts repairs on most instruments.



Minimum of 5 years industrial electrician experience.



Ability to make wiring diagrams and sketches and work with them in making electrical installations.



Possess and use general knowledge of electrical distribution systems and power requirements of facility.



Keeps up to date on all requirements of national electrical codes, OSHA, and company rules and complies with them.



Ability to Work on and at times supervise others in installation, operations, inspection, maintenance, testing, and location of trouble on all types of AC and DC equipment.



Starts, stops, maintains, and helps install and repair generating and power distribution equipment.



Possesses working knowledge of plant's electrical switchboards.



Ability to dismantle and assemble electrical motors and allied equipment of most types; repairing cleaning, and replacing parts.



Ability to install and repair installations of electrical conduit and cable, including connections, controls, grounding, etc.



Works from wiring diagrams in troubleshooting and making proper electrical installations.



Performs voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter and other electrical tests.



Services and enacts repairs on most instruments.
