We are currently looking for a 1st shift experienced Electrician in our Tampa, FL manufacturing location. Once the hired individual completes their orientation period the rate of pay for this position is $28.76 per hour, and is eligible to receive up to a 5% bonus based upon plant performance .
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned.
Must be able to read instructions, blue prints, and manuals, and use any meters, hand tools, and shop equipment required to perform tasks to include, but not inclusive.
Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair conduit wire, AC controls and AC motors.
Install, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair D.C. drive systems.
Be familiar with HMI equipment, Allen Bradley Control Logix's PLC's and PLC 5's.
Be able to navigate, write, and force ladder logic.
Be able install, troubleshoot, inspect electronic instrumentation such as Level sensors, Pressure sensors, Temperature controllers etc.
Be able to install, troubleshoot digital and analog sensors.
* Work with applicable predictive technologies to improve operations.
Know and apply plant safety regulations and practices.
Maintain plant electrical and instrumentation systems in a manner to insure the related productive capability of the plant.
Perform preventative maintenance to prevent major production interruption and to insure the safe operating condition of the plant.
Assist in the training of others to improve their knowledge of plant systems.
Maintain tools and test equipment to maintain plant electrical systems.
Assist with maintaining accurate storeroom, calibration, and historical records.
Perform the duties of this job as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor to further improve the performance and maintenance of electrical systems.
Assist supervision in the design of new equipment as well as replacement equipment to enhance the performance of plant electrical systems.
Work in a neat and orderly manner and be responsible for safety and good housekeeping at all times.
Participate in continuing training process.
Must be willing / able to work overtime and weekends.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and perform algebraic computations in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few physical variables in everyday situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment, near fiberglass and fiberglass mat, and during seasonal changes exposed to high levels and heat and coldness.
The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
