U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company's role is to responsibly manufacture and market USSTC brands to adult tobacco consumers in a financially disciplined way, and to provide manufacturing services to PM USA and NuMark for their smokeless products. We are currently seeking a highly qualified 3rd shift Electrician to join our Maintenance Department located in Nashville TN.

We are currently seeking a highly qualified Electrician to join our 3rd Shift, Maintenance Department at our Manufacturing Plant in Nashville, TN.

The successful candidate will be expected to install, service and repair electrical equipment, components and controls within the manufacturing facility to maintain ongoing operations. Electrician duties include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting industrial equipment and devices, inspecting and testing equipment components, installing new and repaired equipment components, performing preventative maintenance and housekeeping activities, interpreting schematics, manuals and specifications to determine procedures, and preparing logs and reports to record work summaries and test results. The Electrician will also actively and continuously support continuous process improvement initiatives in a team-based environment.

Specific Skills

Qualified applicants will:
*Be at least 18 years of age
*Eligible to work in the United States and for the Altria family of companies
*Have a strong safety orientation
*Be able to work on any shift
*Must possess (5) or more years of experience as Industrial Electrician
*Have excellent problem solving abilities
*Have strong verbal and written communication skills
*Have a high degree of initiative and conscientiousness
*Have the ability to help our production teams drive innovation
*Have a strong grasp of principles of electronics
*Have the ability to perform mathematical calculations
*Have the ability to work to code from drawings and manuals in troubleshooting, repairing, installing and/or calibrating electrical equipment and devices such as distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, motors, sensors, transformers, starters, relays and switches
*Have the ability to plan the layout and installation of equipment (e.g., motor starters & controls), fixtures (e.g., lighting systems) and wiring (e.g., conduit) based on specifications and codes
*Have the ability to install and maintain safety systems including emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, uninterruptible power systems, battery systems, and utility communications systems
*Have the ability to trace and diagnose malfunctions using hand tools and test equipment such as multi-meters
*Have demonstrated expertise in the use of cable reels, stripping tools, voltage detectors, crimping tools, and wire and cable cutters
*Have experience with 3-phase 277/480 volt power distribution systems

Preferred applicants will also:
*Understand input & output requirements of PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
*Have demonstrated expertise in PC applications and hardware
*Have a strong grasp of arc flash ratings and standards
*Have experience in robotics troubleshooting
