DESCRIPTION: Provide support to all departments by performing emergency electrical, electronic and mechanical repairs to all manufacturing and support equipment in the facility. Complete assigned preventive maintenance and routine work order requests. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Troubleshoot and repair of: AC/DC drives and motors power supplies electronic circuit boards programmable logic controllers CNC controls and interfacing electrical wiring switches relays other various electrical and electronic systems Installation or relocation of electrical conduit, wiring, outlets, breakers, transformers, lighting, and disconnect switches in accordance with the National Electrical Code requirements Repair or replace mechanical components such as: gears shafts sprockets chains bearing Repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to component level Welding and fabrication: MIG TIG, Stick Oxygen/Acetylene Plasma Cutter hand and power tools Plumbing skills include installation of piping fittings valves pumps related items Perform Preventive Maintenance on production and support equipment Follow required safety precautions while working with high and low voltage energized lines MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: An Associate degree or equivalent in Electronics 1-3 years experience in an industrial environment working as an Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar position. Experience with CNC controls, PLC s, interfacing, pneumatics and hydraulics. Read and understand electrical, electronic, and mechanical schematics, drawings, and blueprints. Ability to use hand and power tools and electrical test equipment to repair industrial equipment. Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems related to electrical/electronic machinery and equipment. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures. Ability to distinguish between colors and lift 40 pounds. Ability to work flexible hours; 1st shift, 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. and 2nd shift, 2:30 p.m. 11:00 p.m. Must be able to work in a general manufacturing team environment. Exposures to occupational hazards within the manufacturing facility include: chemical, noise, high/low voltage, etc. Use of safety protective equipment required.
