JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Superior group is looking for an Electronics Troubleshooting Technician for our client located in Mason, OH.
Become the company expert on diagnosing one or more product lines.
First responder when a unit or circuit card assembly fails test on the production line.
Document initial findings while test is paused on failure.
Work with Engineering and our customers to help develop troubleshooting plans.
Perform hands-on troubleshooting both independently and in support of the Product Engineer to the component level.
Document the investigation using our internal tools and standards.
Make recommendations for Corrective Actions regarding the current findings, and Preventive Actions to reduce the likelihood of recurrence.
Determine any potential collateral impact of the failure mode on similar units.
Create annotated schematics and a library of known failure modes and symptoms.
Must be able to interpret electronic schematics.
Must have the skills to perform independent research on electronic components.
Must be able to analyze series/parallel circuit voltages and currents.
Can articulate basic troubleshooting strategies and give personal examples of their use.
Can articulate common failure modes and their impacts on circuits.
Relays, IC’s, Op Amps, Transistors, Resistors, Diodes, FPGA’s,
Writing so that people across the country understand what failed, how we investigated, how we resolved, and how we will prevent future occurrences.
Skills operating modern test equipment used in the execution of diagnosing electronic failures.
Ability to adapt to continuously shifting priorities across multiple product lines to support delivery schedules.
Intermediate skills with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as component/circuit level electronics troubleshooting (board swap troubleshooting not applicable.)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
Prior experience with Lab VIEW and Test Stand software from National Instruments.
Expertise with an electronics CAD tool such as PSpice, LT Spice or Altium for modeling and troubleshooting circuits.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of Analog, Digital, and RF signals
