The job responsibilities of the Emergency Services Clinical Assistant are categorized into three separate and distinct areas. Each area requires training and knowledge that will enhance the direct service of patient care within the department. All require computer knowledge, Epic expertise, medical terminology, and Red Cross life saving training. The Emergency Services Clinical Assistant does not function in just one of the following capacities, but often time will function in two to three roles at the same time. Knowledge of office procedures in a healthcare environment normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma, with formal typing/computer courses and acute care environment experience beneficial. First Aid training required. Possesses knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to process orders accurately. Possesses basic computer skills as determined by House-wide Education Council. Is a dynamic, positive, caring and compassionate individual with a desire to wow all customers. Majority Time PM/Night High School/GED
