Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. UWHC is a busy, university-based, referral hospital; one of only two academic medical centers in the state and a Level I Trauma and Burn center for both adult and pediatric patients. TAC is a new state of the art community hospital. EM faculty supervise EM and off-service residents, as well as medical students. The successful candidate will join a faculty of approximately 40 emergency physicians and pediatric emergency physicians.

Specific leadership opportunities exist, including VA Section Chief for Emergency Medicine.

In addition, the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking talented senior emergency medicine residents interested in fellowship opportunities. Specific fellowship opportunities exist in aeromedical transport, EMS, global health, ultrasound, simulation, administration, education, and research.

As such, DEM is excited to recruit academic BC/BE pediatric emergency physicians to join its expanding Division. Currently, PEM faculty work clinically, with robust Pediatric and EM resident coverage, from noon to midnight daily in the American Family Children s Hospital (AFCH) Emergency Department. Our ED is well staffed with an invested team including pediatric emergency nurses, child life specialists, social workers, pharmacists, and radiologists located in the department. AFCH includes pediatric subspecialists representing all specialties and a new surgical NICU.
