The primary purpose of the Benefits Administrator is to support Single Source One by providing guidance via telephone for Mercer Health & Benefits client companies regarding benefits enrollment and related services. To fulfill this role, the Administrator will:

Prepare benefit materials and necessary forms to be sent to the client

Manage benefits orientation process with client employees by explaining their benefits package, associated costs, eligibility information, and forms completion

Serve as a resource for client employees regarding benefits coverage or general claims processing issues

Track eligibility enrollment deadlines, secures paperwork, and communicates enrollments to carrier and other appropriate parties

Input client employee and dependent benefit information in Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and keep system updated

Determine bill reconciliation process with client; reconciles monthly billings and mails to client

Bachelor's degree preferred

1-2 years of Human Resources experience and/or training required

Demonstrated experience in using spreadsheet and word processing software

Strong oral and written communication skills

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to develop business relationships and foster successful business relationships

Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, manage difficult situations professionally, and respond to client needs promptly
