Employee Relations Representative

This position exists to maintain or improve employee relations. Counsels employees on hospital employment policies and assists employees in understanding hospital policies, laws and court decisions effecting employment of individuals. Consults with and advises hospital leadership on matters related to employee relations. Advises hospital management on how to create an employment environment consistent with Hospital values, including being helpful, friendly, courteous, and kind. Advises and assists management in establishing employment practices that enable employee engagement and create a respectful and equitable work environment. Coaches and counsels management with respect to compliance with employment laws and related court decisions. As a member of the Employee Relations team, participates in building programs which will create an employment culture consistent with Hospital values and which will engage employees. Assists in the investigation and resolution of claims of discrimination, harassment and disruptive behavior.
Requirements: Bachelors degree, Masters degree strongley preferred, 5 years of Employee Relations experience. HR generalist experience with a heavy emphasis in employee relations would qualify as related work experience other than prior experience in the same job. Full-time (64-80 hrs/pp) Day shift
