* Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Network Engineer 3/4 to support the Ground\-based MidcourseDefense \(GMD\) Communication Network \(GCN\) Product Development Team with Network Management Systems,Information Assurance/Communications Network Defense, and Network infrastructure product development\.Responsibilities include all aspects of the product design, development, integration, test and implementation throughthe Product life cycle for incorporating changes identified by Program personnel\. This includes analysis of changerequests and requirements for new or upgraded Product capabilities, systems design, COTS/GOTS integration, andprocedures needed to meet and mitigate requirements changes\. Additionally, the candidate is expected to be able toresolve technically challenging issues and proactively contribute to the evolution of the Product\.Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Design, develop, configure, integrate, install and test network systems primarily consisting of Cisco, UNIX, Linux andWindows based LAN/WANs- Derive system\-level requirements from architectural guidelines and project objectives- Develop detailed designs with supporting implementation, test and transition plans- Usher proposed system changes through the Configuration Management process to successful implementation anddelivery to the Customer/Operator- Develop and maintain documentation supporting the Product through development, integration, deployment and deliveryto the customer/operator- Work within and across teams to support and coordinate daily integration activities- Create and update Visio drawings of network and rack elevation diagrams- Execute root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve complex network system issues- Support UNIX, Linux and Windows based networked systems- Work with vendor support for hardware issues- Interface with DISA- Approximately 25% travel will be required for this position including supporting Product installation and checkout atoperational and test locations

* 9 Years experience with Bachelors in Science in IT, STEM or Technical discipline; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD\.

* BQs for a Engineer Network 3 are

* 5 Years experience with Bachelors in Science in IT, STEM or Technical discipline; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD\.Current NG employees must possess four additional years of experience in lieu of a degree\.Practicalexperience with networked computer systems, storage systems, routers and switches required\. A demonstrated history of contributing to the execution of large\-scale technical projects\.At a minimum, must have Sec w/CE Hours Certification required to comply with DOD 8570requirement\. Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to get a Secret Clearance\.Preferred Qualifications:
- Detailed knowledge of network management technologies/trends, to include SNMP v3, NetFlow, RMON, the HPOpenView and Network Node Manager Products, NetScout, etc\.- Superior analytical & problem\-resolution skills, with attention to details- High energy, strong work ethic, and able to perform within condensed timeframes- Current, industry recognized Certifications associated with Cisco, Juniper, UNIX, Linux, Windows, ITIL and/or ITSMNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
