* F/A\-18 Product Support Structural Analysis Engineer to support analysis activities required for continued operation of the aircraft\. Team is working to extend the life of the fleet by assessing the fatigue lives of known critical parts, establishing time intervals for inspections of fleet aircraft, as well as analyzing repairs and retrofits\. Activities include a large amount of coordination with the Navy customer\. Responsibilities include structural analysis for both metallic and advanced composite structures\. Tasks include classical hand static analysis, finite element model use and development, structural integrity evaluations, and durability and damage tolerance assessments\. Responsible for all types of structural parts as well as assembly analysis associated with installation of these parts in the F/A\-18\.The candidate must be able to work with minimal management oversight, demonstrate leadership qualities, and be a good communicator\.Basic Qualifications:
+ Position requires a B\.S\., M\.S\., or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering\.+ Must have an extensive background in structural analysis\.+ Must have advanced technical principles\.Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity/experience with FEMAP, Patran, and Nastran FEM tools\.+ Durability and damage tolerance analysis+ MS office, and structural analysis of aircraft structure\.+ Project management experience including earned value management\.Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
