Job Specific Attends required hotel meetings to: keep abreast of in-house activities and events; maintain communications with other departments throughout the hotel. Attends departmental meetings as required to communicate effectively with all management/personnel to ensure that they are kept current with pertinent hotel information and activities related to work orders. Maintain, update and control work order systems for engineering department. Control, update and maintain the maintenance system for all employees in engineering. Attend and participate in daily/weekly meetings between Loews management team. Establish a clear line of communication between employees and the Assistant area Director of Engineering. Prepare reports for management from the Hotsos and Mintek systems. Maintain good record keeping files related to work orders, reports and inventory. Prepares and distributes correspondence for department Receive, sort, distribute department mail Assists in the preparation and distribution of reports generated by the department Establishes and maintains files to effectively organize the department Assists in the performance of monthly inventories Assist in the completion of special projects as assigned by the Assistant Area Director of Engineering Assists other Engineering department personnel as necessary to ensure smooth operation of department Other duties as assigned. In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions: Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times. Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance. Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees. Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards. Complies with required safety regulations and procedures. Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions. Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area. Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules. Remains current with hotel information and changes. Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards.
