That's our story...your story continues here Immediate Opening: Engineering Manager Job Number: 47297 Job Type: Full Time Location: Town Village Tulsa- 8222 South Yale Avenue, Tulsa, OK, 74137 Contact: Sally Bell E-mail: sally.bell@brookdaleliving.com SUMMARY: Manages the associates responsible for the general operation maintenance and repair of the community and its physical plant to maintain proper orientation of the community. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supervise the residence maintenance, housekeeping and laundry staff, to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, resolving disciplinary issues and firing. This is the primary function of this position and requires at least fifty-one percent of the employee's time on a monthly basis.
Direct workers engaged in the maintenance and upkeep of the interior and exterior of the residence. Inspect completed work for conformance to standards and policies.
Oversee scheduled maintenance on: H.V.A.C., elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
Coordinate maintenance requests by residents for items needing repair in their rooms, including repairing plumbing, electrical, heating and replacing light bulbs.
Oversee repairs and maintenance of vacated rooms in a timely manner. This includes painting and cleaning carpets.
Maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector, state elevator inspector, and any other jurisdictions governing the residence.
Assure that walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas of the residence are properly maintained.

Reviews material safety data sheets (MSDS) as requested for potential exposure to hazardous chemicals used and take necessary precautions. We seek the following qualifications:
Ability to professionally represent Brookdale Senior Living
HVAC Certification preferred
Must have a working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, apartment turns, and grounds maintenance.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational and time management skills required.
3-5 years experience in maintenance or environmental services.
Commercial kitchen equipment/appliance repair knowledge a plus!
