Requisition Category:Epsilon Systems Partners is currently seeking a full time Engineering Technician II (CIWS NULKA).



Job Summary: Support the Combat Systems Product Family in successfully accomplishing its mission to overhaul NULKA launchers, CIWS and 25mm Guns in accordance with Formal Work Packages and applicable technical documentation while adhering to technical authority requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

*

Supports all areas of the Combat Systems Product Family systems
*

Locates defective components and performs repair work with published technical directives and equipment specifications which outline specific alignment and calibration procedures using drawings, prints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
*

Provides input and assist with process improvement procedures assembles and installs equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
*

Supports other trades as required to include assisting in rigging, disassembly, reassembly and inspection of mechanical and electrical equipment, systems, and components.
*

Understands and follow standard and specified safety procedures and operating procedures.
*

Attaches moving parts and subassemblies to basic assembly unit, using hand tools and power tools as instructed and all other duties as assigned.
*

Designs, fabricates, modifies and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems.
*

Writes test procedures, compiles and evaluates design and test data and prepares technical specifications.
*

Recommends design approaches to meet production requirements for new or improved products or processes.
*

Coordinates the efforts of drafters, technical writers, engineering technicians and machine shop personnel as required
*

Meets all shop requirements for cleaning up tools, parts, workstations and floors from any trash and Hazardous Waste in accordance with shop standards.
*

Places all Hazardous Material not being disposed of as waste back into the proper storage lockers
*

Conducts inspections, test & repair as it pertains to shop duties.
*

Assists in the installation of the items on the ship as required.
*

Assists with Ship-to-Shop items being delivered for processing; pick up of finished products.
*

Replaces defective parts of machine or adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts.
*

Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.
*

Inserts shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
*

Moves machinery and equipment, using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
*

Follows blueprint design specifications and manufacturer's instructions to install motors, compressors, condensing units, piping and other components.



Required Qualifications:

*

High School diploma or equivalent
*

Minimum 4 years experience
*

EW/CT/FC Navy background preferred
*

Navy/ship/IMA repair experience.
*

Ability to take work related direction from supervisors.
*

Ability to read schematics, long lines, troubleshoot wiring and other electrical/electronic components.
*

Ability to use power tools and have the ability to wear a respirator.
*

Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and repair standards.
*

Ability to troubleshoot, perform/assist in operational testing, removals/installations, alignments, assembly/disassembly and equipment inspections.
*

Knowledge of standard items, test procedures and test memos.
*

Knowledge and experience in military terminology procedures.
*

Qualify Craftsman 301 for civilians
*

Experience troubleshooting and repair of SLQ-32 and NULKA systems.
*

Experience troubleshooting and repair of Naval Electronic Counter Measures systems.
*

Experience troubleshooting and repair of wiring, switches, motors and generators associated with machinery.
*

Experience performing shipboard testing of SLQ-32/NULKA system.
*

Maintenance and overhaul related experience with NULKA Launchers, CWIS and 25MM Guns
*

Maintain 301 Craftsman and 307 Quality Assurance Work Center Supervisor qualifications or equivalent as required.
*

Must have a DOD security clearance.

Requires walking, standing, climbing stairs, visual skills and manual dexterity.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
