The Enrollment Manager Trainee position is the 'training' or entry phase for the Enrollment Manager role. That role is ultimately responsible for proactive customer management, education, development and retention of clients utilizing Unum's portfolio of voluntary products. The Enrollment Manager works with Sales Reps, Brokers and Clients to develop strategies for enrollment solutions for Unum customers. Those strategies will ultimately maximize participation and premium, minimize expenses and differentiate Unum's portfolio of products and services. In the Enrollment Manager Trainee position, attention focuses on understanding the fundamentals of the Employee Benefits industry, as well as in learning the products, enrollment capabilities and processes associated with providing client support for Unum's portfolio of Group and Voluntary products. Comprehensive training on Unum's array of products and enrollment solutions is essential to the development of the trainee. During the training program, compensation is 100% salary based to allow the trainee the opportunity to focus their time on learning and development for the role. Once training is successfully completed, the compensation program is expanded to include the opportunity to earn incentive compensation based on actual results in addition to the base salary. Principal Duties and Responsibilities The Enrollment Manager Trainee position focus is on employee development in the following areas: ?? Employee Benefits Industry Fundamentals?? Product Knowledge (Unum and it's competitive environment)?? Client Management?? Inforce Block Management?? Enrollment process, capabilities and management?? Operating effectively with key internal and external partners Qualifications?? Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience required?? Strong negotiation, persuasion and presentation skills?? Strong technical aptitude - ability to utilize and leverage technology and systems?? Ability to work/partner with a team?? Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal?? Proven ability to think strategically and act tactically?? Strong problem solving/problem resolution skills?? Strong organizational skills/ability to manage multiple demands and priorities?? Proficient in Microsoft office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel?? Licensed to solicit insurance in the states within assigned territory (license required within 90 days of hire/promotion)??
