The Enterprise Data Architect creates and maintains the overall as well as individual blueprints for data management solutions across the enterprise. This role understands and assesses the company's existing and potential data sources (internal and external), architects a plan to integrate, centralize, protect and maintain the data assets, while enabling access to critical information in the right place, at the right time by authorized users.

The Enterprise Data Architect understands business context of the data requirements and plays the lead role in providing direction and oversight for data architecture across different projects & systems, for maximizing the leverage from data assets.

The Enterprise Data Architect uses, promotes and supports the effective execution and evolution of Data & Information Life Cycle Management best practices for the enterprise, and acts as a change agent and evangelizer in company's effort for establishing an enterprise thinking and a robust enterprise solutions foundation!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Accountable and responsible for the overall Data Strategy, Architecture and Governance for Enterprise-level Data Management

* Understands complex business requirements and takes the lead to propose elegant and simplified enterprise data and information architecture solutions, panning both structured and unstructured data sets
* defines, maintains and enhances the conceptual and logical data models for information architecture across different data initiatives in the company, and provides guidance to IT team for physical data model implementation
* Documents data integration strategies for data flows between disparate source/target systems and the enterprise information repositories
* Designs and implements Master Data Management and Meta Data Management principles
* Develops strategies, plans and guides the IT team for implementation and on-going maintenance of Masters/System of Truth for key data entities (e.g., Customer Master, Worker Master).
* Understands various reporting and analytics requirements, researches, and recommends data strategies for those to maximize the return on data assets
* Develops strategies, plans and guides the IT team for implementation and on-going maintenance of Enterprise Data Warehouse
* Guides IT/App Dev and Business team members for building operational reports
* Leads implementation of analytics solutions
* Develops and maintains controls on data quality, interoperability and sources to effectively manage corporate risk
* Partners with various leaders and SMEs across business units and IT to design and institute practices that will drive the appropriate levels of rigor and quality in enterprise information architecture
* Designs and implements data governance also for ensuring consistent translation and usage of data
* Defines processes for an effective and integrated introduction of new data (new business needs and/or M&A integration scenario)
* Performs variety in-depth data analysis, data modeling and data design tasks on complicated datasets with potentially complex data integration scenarios
* Makes recommendations and helps leadership make sound tradeoff decisions between speed of delivery and data quality measures
* Maintains a corporate-level repository of all data architecture artifacts and procedures

* Identifies opportunities for efficiency/TCO/best practice improvements in data/information life cycle management for key entities, and discusses/facilitates essential changes to reap those benefits
* Serves as a key contributor in the research, evaluation, and procurement of appropriate databasetechnologies and related tools

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

* IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE OF DATA STRATEGY, ARCHITECTURE, MODELING & GOVERNANCE

- Extensive experience in Enterprise-level Data & Information Lifecycle Management methodologies, industry best practices, and tools

- deep understanding of data technologies for data warehousing, ETL/ELT, MDM, BI and Analytical Tools

- Hands-on experience with dimensional modeling techniques and creation of logical and physical data models and tools (entity relationship modeling, ERWin, Enterprise Architect and Visio.)

- Experience in integrating complex, corporate-wide processes and data models

- Extensive experience in metadata management and Data Quality processes and tools

- Experience in full life cycle architectural guidance

- Experience evaluating new tools and methodologies

- Experience with data mining and predictive modeling

- Experience with designing or contributing to design of strategic business success metrics and scorecards is a plus

- Experience with physical databasearchitecture, implementation and management on different platforms (Oracle, MSSQL, DB2, ) is a plus

* SPECIFIC SOFT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* Leadership and collaboration - for driving gaps and improvements discussions to success working across multiple cross-functional teams and business units
* Interfacing with all levels of the client organization, including exec management

* Overall 7+ years of Data Strategy, Architecture & Modeling experience, with at least 3 years on enterprise-scale initiatives
* Experience with data architecture and integration for SW package implementations and conversions in SaaS/Could environments
* Experience with Data architecture and integration for inhouse SW development projects (Agile and Waterfall)
* Good understanding of overall Enterprise Program/Project Management frameworks, and play of data architecture and implementation activities in those
* Experience with data asset identification, analysis, integration strategies and implementation in M&A situations is a huge plus
* Staffing Industry experience is a plus

EDUCATION AND OTHER PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent education in a related discipline is required
