Job Description

Leading financial firm licated in NYC needs:

Enterprise Lead Architect

5+ years programming experience using C#.NET, ASP.NET, WinForms, XML Web Services, Object Oriented Programming, and multi-tier applications.
5+ years as team lead or technical lead.
3-5 years experience in Service-Oriented Architecture.
Expertise in the Microsoft technologies including C#.NET, WCF, WF.

The Lead Architect designs, implements, documents, and maintains company online and business software systems. The Lead Architect is an integral member of the IT Research and Development Team, and is relied upon to help push its technology offering ever forward. The Lead Architect will be responsible for day-to-day design and development activities, strategic planning, and orchestrating knowledge transfer.

Job Duties:

Lead in overall mission to transition its technology infrastructure over to a robust Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Team Management, Delivery Focused - Prior experience in complex project delivery while working with a development team size of minimum 5 developers.
Architectural Skill - Multi-tier mission critical system design from scratch to operationalization.
Operational Knowledge/Experience - Design and implement systems with understanding and consideration for post-launch operational scenarios. Troubleshoot/Triage existing systems.
Interpret business requirements into technical architecture design that maintains the integrity and stability of the enterprise architecture.
Identify architecture requirements as part of the technical requirements specification.
Innovate designs and solutions to business problems that otherwise appear unsolvable.
Stay current on advancements in the technology field and help to keep company vibrant, innovative, and competitive.


Minimum Qualifications - Required:

5+ years programming experience using C#.NET, ASP.NET, WinForms, XML Web Services, Object Oriented Programming, and multi-tier applications.
5+ years as team lead or technical lead.
3-5 years experience in Service-Oriented Architecture.
Expertise in the Microsoft technologies including C#.NET, WCF, WF.
Action-oriented and able to work autonomously.
Strong communication skills, able to work in a team environment, and able to interact with business stakeholders.
Experience in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).


Other Qualifications - Desired:

Microsoft Certified Professionals / Microsoft Certified Solution Developer preferred or attaining Microsoft certifications (MCAD or MCSD track).
C++ or Java experience, including GUI development.
Strong experience with implementation and design of enterprise CMS systems.
Understanding of software development design patterns.
Microsoft SQL Server experience, including database modeling, development of stored procedures, views, triggers, performance tuning, etc.
Experience working with quality assurance and unit testing.
Experience writing technical specifications and system design documents.
Experience in financial services, degree in Finance or relevant knowledge.

Education and/or Related Experience - Required:

Masters degree or Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology or other technical or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience.
