We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Enterprise Master Data Analyst within our Operations Data Management group based in Houston, TX.

Get in on the ground floor as the Data Management & Analytics Organization creates a new team tasked with managing Oxy s enterprise master data as we prepare for an enterprise wide SAP implementation.

This high impact, high visibility team is responsible for ensuring all master data is accurate, complete and consistent across the enterprise. The team drives development of policies and procedures in concert with process owners and governance councils, conducts audits, performs analysis, and recommends and implements improvements. The team supports current implementation projects and performs ongoing guidance after SAP transitions to a production environment. The analyst directs the process teams in the creation of technical documentation, test programs and other task related to the development, test, and cutover to SAP ERP. After Go Live, the analyst will provide direction and play a similar role in the deployment of enhancements or new functionality.

Work with business process owners and others to analyze, design and document how SAP Master Data integrates with new business processes,

Identify and define business requirements, create business and functional requirements documents.

Ensure metadata is consistently defined across all work streams, with no redundancy, with clarity for consumer use

Participate in warehouse and architecture definition

Drive data life cycle management

Ensure a clear and complete understanding of the requirements. while transitioning the requirements and use cases to the developers

Assist in identification and creation of test scenarios, and test scripts, validation methodologies.

Participate in development and user acceptance testing

Support change management team developing communications, training curricula, and training materials.

Train end users

Perform analysis on master and transactional data

Recommend changes to improve overall data quality, improve processing times, and anticipate future needs *LI-YN1

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor Degree required

4 years of Data Management experience required

Oil & Gas functional knowledge a plus (Upstream, Downstream, and Oil Field Services) required

Implementation experience on any one of the following technologies: IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management Server, IBM InfoSphere Product Information Management, Infomatica MDM (formerly Siperian), SAP MDM 7.x, SAP MDG, Oracle Product Hub, Oracle Customer Hub, TIBCO Collaborative Information Manager, D&B Purisma

Working knowledge of SAP processes

Organizing requirements using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/validation

Data profiling, data analysis, statistical analysis

Process mapping and analysis

Functional design and delivery experience for master data domains in an MDM technology (SAP ECC, SAP MDM / MDG, Informatica MDM etc.) Domains can be Customer, Vendor, Material, Assets etc. (Upstream Oil & Gas experience preferred)

Strong project management and delivery experience leading large scale Information Management / Enterprise Data Management engagements through all phases of the project lifecycle including: requirements gathering, business case development, estimating, planning, application and architecture design, application and architecture development and all phases of testing

Business process design for managing Master Data throughout the lifecycle, including data quality, metadata and workflow technologies

Data and hierarchy design for the conceptual, logical and physical data model of the master, conditional and reference data

Experience in architecting Master Data solutions that integrate multiple systems and data through application consolidation/ migration / conversion, application integration and data integration

Executing current state assessments, documenting business process and identifying data quality KPI s

Experience in defining data conversion and cleansing strategies that includes defining industry / function specific (Oil & Gas / Customer) data quality business rules

Preferred Skills:
Deep knowledge of Data Quality toolsets such as: Informatica IDE / IDQ, Trillium, SAP Data Services (BODS), IBM QualityStage and SAS/DataFlux

Experience in performing data quality analysis and discovering data quality issues, this includes coordinating with technology partners to gather source data and loading into an integrated database

Organization design for Data Governance and Master Data Organizations including, establishing Data Governance processes, roles and responsibilities across multiple business units

Expertise in Data Modeling & Data Administration Tools (Erwin, Designer/2000, Rational Rose, Power Designer, Embarcadero, System Architect

Develop business cases for an MDM solution and the value it brings to an organization

Good understanding of data governance design and implementation and how data quality is a key component for the management of master data
