Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. Territory will be the state of Rhode Island. Selected candidate will need to work and reside within this area. Must have a vehicle and valid driver's license. Desired skills Knowledge of utility energy efficiency programs. Knowledge of any of the following products or industries: lighting, appliances, consumer electronics, commercial food service equipment, hot water heaters, thermostats. Familiarity with Micorosoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); presentation and training skills; retail sales/management and marketing knowledge or experience, negotiation skills. Enjoys working with diverse age groups. Specific Job Description Visit retailers, dealers and other industry partners in assigned territory to help promote the sale of energy efficient products on behalf of our clients. Educate industry partners and consumers on ways they can save energy and protect the environment by using more energy efficient products. Build relationships with retailers, manufacturers, and other industry players; staff special events, take surveys and inventories, distribute Point of Purchase materials, rebates and coupons. Maintain knowledge of products, manufacturers, and other industry groups that impact the market. Negotiate special promotions. Deliver presentations to diverse audiences. Desired candidate must reside within the state of Rhode Island and be fluent in English and Spanish. Standard Job Description Responsible for the sale of company products and/or services to assigned accounts or within a given territory. Makes and develops contacts with existing and potential customers. Analyzes existing and anticipated customer requirements and promotes consideration of company products and services to fill such requirements. Participates in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans. Conducts sales presentations. Maintains up to date and accurate sales records. Maintains technical proficiency and consults with prospective customers regarding use of company products and services.
