Entry Level IT Developers / Programmers December 2011 and May 2012 Grads

This program offers qualified college graduates the opportunity to build a strong foundational knowledge of Information Technology (IT) through exposure to and involvement in multiple Application Development and Application Support teams as an application developer / programmer. The knowledge gained through these experiences will give participants additional insights into project work and help them in eventually finding their best long-term fit among the many areas within IT.

If selected for this program, you will join either an application development or application support team for a period of three to six months to work on several projects and get an in-depth view of the team and its role within the C.H. Robinson Worldwide (CHRW) IT department. After that period, you will move on to your next team and repeat the process for several team rotations over the next one to two years. During each rotation, you will have an active, essential role on the project teams you join.

Jump In Feet First:

You will immediately be up to your elbows working on projects that have real delivery and business visibility, contributing everything you can bring to the project while learning from everyone else at the same time. CHRW IT builds the majority of our own software, relying heavily on our employees to write and support the software; this will give you numerous opportunities to see the development and support process at all stages. If you happen to find the perfect fit with a team that has an open position, you also have the option of leaving the rotational program early to join that team as a permanent member.

In each rotation, you will have access to a wide range of people who will provide guidance and the opportunity to build professional networks for your current and future projects. Each team rotation will supply you with a coach who will be available to give you direction, answer questions, and generally serve as a professional role model. You will also have a close working relationship with the team's manager for each rotation and an IT Director throughout your participation in the program.

Required Education
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience. GPA of at least 3.0.

Must be authorized to work in the United States. Candidates must be a US Citizen, Green Card Holder, Permanent Resident or have an EAD.
