JOB DESCRIPTIONEntry Level Modeling and Simulation Engineer Location Melbourne, Florida
The Modeling and Simulation (M&S) engineer is responsible for developing, integrating and utilizing models representing subsystems associated with the Missile Defense Agency including but not limited to; Advanced Sensor Technology, Discriminating Sensor and the Next Generation Interceptor/KV. The Simulink modeling environment will be extensively utilized to develop an MDA/DV portfolio level Simulation. The Simulation elements include components associated with the BMDS and will allow a full end to end kill chain evaluation. The engineer must be self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 0-2 year of experience as an M&S engineer. Experience working within the context of a 6DOF Simulation environment is preferred. Significant experience working within Matlab/Simulink to create subsystem/ system level representations for all digital, software in the loop (SIL) simulation environments is highly preferred. A technical background and general understanding of one or more of the BMDS subsystems including Sensors, ballistic missiles/ interceptors, Kill Vehicles and control, command and battle management is a preferred.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor, Masters or PhD degree in engineering, computer sciences, physics or mathematics. Advanced degrees are preferred.
Candidates hired will be subjected to a security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
