Allstate Insurance Company is currently hiring ENTRY - LEVEL Sales representatives to work in our Call Center in Woodridge, IL (Start Date ? 03/02/2012).
The entry-level Direct Sales Specialist is a licensed sales representative and is responsible for initiating and successfully closing sales opportunities and supporting marketing campaigns. Contacts are made through inbound and limited outbound calls in a way that enables the contact center to meet its customer satisfaction and business performance goals.
Allstate is willing to invest in your success. After completing our fully paid, industry-leading training program, and passing the insurance licensing exam, you will be ready to sell insurance policies over the phone.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
-Deliver an exceptional sales experience to customers (inbound and limited. outbound calls) in order to meet sales targets and performance goals. -Gather information for potential policyholders, prepare rate quotes and close the sale. -Proactively identify and act on cross-selling opportunities. Compensation and other important information
-Training will begin: March 2, 2012. -Hours for the first 2 weeks of employment will be: Monday - Friday 9:00AM - 5:30PM. Beyond that they will be: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday from 3:30PM - Midnight (Wednesdays and Saturdays off). -Starting salary: $574 weekly PLUS 10% Shift Premium. -New employee training is approximately 8 weeks. -Following training, you would move to a transition stage in which you will put your new skills to use in a supervised environment. The transition training is approximately 8 weeks. -Monthly incentives based on performance available after training. -Excellent benefits starting on your first day of employment, including 401K, health, dental, vision and life insurance. -$500.00 bonus paid after 6 months of employment if hired with an active General Line Property & Casualty License (prior licensed Allstate employees are not eligible). Working environment
Call center environment. There will be extended periods of sitting while multitasking including use of various computer programs while interacting with the customer on the phone. Non-standard work hours based on call volume.

As the needs of our customers change, the available shifts within the center may change as well.

Requirements:
Minimum requirements
-One to two years experience in a sales call center environment or equivalent sales job. Insurance industry related experience is a plus. OR, a four-year degree with no sales experience-High School diploma/GED required
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills -High level of dependability, flexibility and stable work history -Basic PC aptitude with Microsoft Word, Excel and the Internet -Must be eligible to be P&C licensed in all 50 states Required Skills
