The Bloomfield, NJ office of Dewberry is seeking an entry level engineer for its Traffic Engineering Department. Candidates who are eager to learn will perform Traffic Studies, Traffic Analyses and Traffic Engineering tasks such as Traffic Signal design following state and municipal design standards and practices.","The responsibilities include traffic studies, traffic analyses, traffic signal design and contract document preparation for highway improvement projects for various clients including the NJDOT and Turnpike Authority.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
Applicants should possess an EIT in NJ or be able to attain EIT within one year.
The ideal candidate should have prior internship experience, familiarity with traffic analysis, and 0-2 years of experience.
Strong oral and writting communication skills are necessary.
All candidates should have proficiency with MS Office software, AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
Familiarity with MUTCD, AASHTO, HCM and HCS, Synchro/Sim Traffic software desireable.
Knowledge of NJDOT and NJTA design standards and practices are desirable.
Ability to work in team environment.
