Job Description



RTI International s Clinical Research Informatics Program is seeking an entry-level web programmer to develop and support web applications on a range of clinical trial networks. Responsibilities include assisting with the development of web-based tools for data collection, reporting, visualization, and data dissemination. Duties will also include assisting with the maintenance of current in-house web applications and modules using a range of web technologies, usability testing of current and new applications, and data integration across multiple applications and platforms.

Responsibilities:

* Design and develop web-based tools that integrate with clinical trial systems;

* Enhance and maintain existing web applications;

* Design and develop web-based data collection applications;

* Design and develop interactive, web-based data visualizations;

* Design and develop web and data integration applications using VB/C# and ASP.Net technologies;

* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team environment with data managers, system developers and staff from other disciplines to develop solutions to complex clinical trial issues;

* Work on multiple projects with minimal supervision;





Qualifications

Education and Experience:

* B.S. in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or other related discipline with one year s related experience; Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Required:

* Programming experience in Microsoft web development technologies in one or more of the following; ASP.Net, web forms, or MVC.

* Experience with SQL Server.

* Experience with 1 or more client-side web technologies, including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap3, JavaScript or jQuery.

* To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require now, or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status.

Preferred:

* Experience with emerging web technologies, such as HTML5 and AngularJS;

* Experience with responsive design and mobile applications;

* Working knowledge of data visualization for clinical trials or other health data.

* Experience with data visualization frameworks, such as d3js.
