This position involves the preventative and minor corrective maintenance of the tool sets found in the following areas:

*

Wet Etch / Electroplate / CMP
*

Dry Etch/ASH
*

Photo/Metrology/PTEST
*

Implant/Metals/CMP

The description of these responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

*

Monitor equipment in the area and be familiar with equipment and process related issues.
*

Perform routine preventative maintenance (PMs) and maintenance as required.
*

Create/Modify procedures and PM specifications as needed to improve tool availability or enhance training of other technicians.
*

Order consumable and non-consumable parts for tools as assigned.

*

Submit and maintain repair tag system.
*

Work in detail with planning department on tracking and submitting critical repairs for time

*

Troubleshoot tool issues to root cause. Publish findings to the WCP team in a timely fashion and present recommendations to avoid similar future failures.
*

Project management: Special projects will be assigned to improve tool reliability and reduce scrap risk on equipment failures.

*

Project will include leading equipment upgrades, modification and installation.
*

Interfacing with tool vendors on tool recovery.
*

Acquiring quotes with compete bids and submitting PRs with detailed justifications.
*

Report out on project status on a weekly basis
*

Ensure timeliness of projects are met and escalate when metrics are at risk of not being met.

*

Perform data analysis of tool performance on assigned tool and drive improvement activities based on data.
*

Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to trouble shoot issues or determine the health of tools in the area.
*

Maintain a clean working area and continue with 5S principles during repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs).
*

Follow safety procedures and expectations which include knowledge of hazards and necessary precautions for assigned tool set(s) and following Lock out/Tag Out procedures for assigned tool set(s) and adhering to all clean room protocols and procedures.
*

Maintain electronic logs and attend pass down communications for FAB priority assignments.
*

Implement solutions for continuous improvement of machine availability, cycle time, MTBF, scrap reduction, cost of ownership, and equipment long downs.

Minimum Qualifications

*

Associates Degree in Electronics/Electromechanical/Laser technology/Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology or other related discipline.
*

Excellent communication skills
*

Excellent attention to detail and follow up pertaining to projects, maintenance and equipment to maximize operational production and efficiency.
*

Ability to troubleshoot to component level when necessary.
