High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to demonstrate ability to read and comprehend instructions, safety data and regulations

6 plus months in production, service and/or janitorial industry that may have included clean-room environment food service or similar job that required detailed, end-of-shift cleaning or may have equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills

Ability to read and follow instructions and safety precautions

Ability to process trash using critical thinking skills

Working knowledge of safe and sanitary housekeeping procedures

Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment independently or as part of a team

Basic computer skills that allow completion of mandatory education and accurate entry of work hours

Ability to use pager and telephone systems

Work requires active physical exertion to include prolonged periods of standing least 66% of the time with ability to lift objects weighing 80 lbs or less

Prefer: Experience performing a variety of general cleaning tasks in healthcare environment helpful; ability to communicate orally; experience in healthcare facility or similar setting.

This position is responsible for ensuring soiled linens, trash and waste products are collected and/or disposed of according to regulations.
