JOB DESCRIPTIONThis is a professional environmental work in the promotion of the public health through education, surveillance, consultation, inspection, and enforcement of state, local and federal environmental health laws and regulations. Employees are responsible for the performance of professional environmental health services through the application of principals of Epidemiology, Environmental Health Science, and Public Health Law. Primary duties will be in the food and lodging program. Work is performed under the direction and supervision of the Environmental Health Supervisor in the Stanly County Health Department.
Graduation from four-year college or university with a minimum of 30 semester hours of course work in physical or biological sciences and two years of experience in environmental health; or four year degree or master's degree in environmental health from a program accredited by the National Accreditation Council for Environmental Health Curricula of the National Environmental Health Association and One year's experience in environmental health.
