* Northrop Grumman Corporation has an immediate opportunity to join the Enterprise Services & Chief Strategy Office \(ES & CSO\) Sector Environmental, Health & Safety \(EHS\) department\. The Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer reports to the ES & CSO EHS Operations Manager and will act as the program manager for environmental sustainability project development and overall program management\. The EHS Engineer will also act as the lead for all environmental compliance and reporting requirements for the ES & CSO sector and the corporate GreeNG program, driving EHS regulatory compliance and excellence in environmental sustainability\.The successful candidate is responsible for effective implementation of the GreeNG \(corporate sustainability\) program enhanced best management practices across the sector as well as working with multiple sites and functional areas in the development and implementation of projects focused on GHG emissions reduction, waste diversion, and water usage reduction to meet the current 2020 goals in these areas\. The EHS Engineer, in collaboration with the EHS Operations Manager, serves as the primary environmental compliance expert for the ES & CSO sector\. In addition to the environmental compliance and sustainability focus, the successful candidate will also service in a variety of EHS related roles as assigned\.Additionally the selected candidate will lead and liaise with Corporate Communications and business unit leaders, developing and supporting distribution of EHS and sustainability\-related information to diverse audiences, including non\-technical employees and management\. This position has a high level of visibility within the ES & CSO organization, both domestic and international\.Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and lead strategic planning for all environmental sustainability projects for ES & CSO operations\. Collect and track all water, GHG and solid waste data from the sector\.- Represent ES & CSO operations in industry groups such as the International Aerospace Environmental Group and the ORCHSE Corporate Environmental Forum- Represent ES & CSO operations on internal groups such as the Environmental Technical Working Committee and the Enterprise Water Council- Provide senior management with periodic updates regarding sustainability program status, recommendations to accomplish both business unit and corporate goals and objectives and monitoring the implementation of best management practices- Act as the main EHS point of contact for electronic waste disposal processes and data collection within the ES & CSO sector- Champion best practice sharing and learning between facilities, functional groups, and sectors- Author and deploy employee newsletters and other employee\-facing communications- Occasional travel to various Northrop Grumman facilities is expectedThe position can be hired as a level 2 Engineer or a level 3 Engineer\. See below requirements for both gradesBasic Qualifications, Level 2:
- 2 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters- Proven experience in management of, or specific education/training/certification, in the areas of environmental engineering, environmental sustainability, and EHS permitting and compliance reporting\.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience with diverse communication styles, including but not limited to conducting personnel interviews, delivering executive\-level presentations, developing environmental metric reports, PowerPoint presentations, newsletters- Excellent analytical skills and familiarity with EHS compliance and sustainability performance trends and key performance indicators- Experience developing and maintaining various environmental compliance related materials such as SWPPP, SPCC, Hazardous Waste Permitting , Tier II Reporting- Proven ability to translate technical information for diverse audiences, from senior management to non\-EHS professional and contract staff; Experience providing EHS training preferred- Demonstrated experience developing effective written and multi\-media communications related to EHS compliance and sustainability

- M\.S\.
