Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services/Operations Manager for St.Joseph Mercy Oakland located in Pontiac, Michigan for an evening shift opportunity (2:00pm start). This is considered a five star facility including a state of the art tower, that totals 420 beds and 1.2M cleanable square feet. The selected candidate must have stellar customer service skills as the client/patient experience is crucial to this role. This position requires a take charge, hands-on individual that will lead and train employees on quality control and safety guidelines. The successful candidate should have previous experience managing in a union environment, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a passion for driving and improving the patient experience. This housekeeping/custodial manager will need to implement Sodexo programs, policies and procedures while managing a team of 45 employees. This position will report directly to the General Manager. The Operations Manager may be required to participate in a rotational "on call" schedule involving rotating weekends and holidays. We are in search of a self motivated leader with the desire to deliver outstanding results for the organization. The ability to motivate and inspire staff to exceed expectations is a desired characteristic for this manager. Must be able to drive HCAHPS results to a high level and understand ENGAGE patient satisfaction process. Overall, will need to motivate hourly staff and maintain cleaning quality to a very high level. Driving client engagement and patient/employee satisfaction is essential for the success of this role.
