THE EPIC AMBULATORY AND HIM PROJECT MANAGER PROVIDES HANDS-ON EXPERTISE TO DEPLOY SOLUTIONS FOR THE RUSH ENTERPRISE

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

*

The IS Project Manager works as a member of the Clinical Information Systems team that will support Epic s Ambulatory and HIM applications.
*

Under minimal supervision, leads the Ambulatory and HIM teams in analyzing problems in terms of Rush workflows/policies/procedures, Epic functionality, end-user knowledge, and training requirements.
*

He/she is a recognized expert for his/her applications and applies knowledge of Epic functionality to address Rush issues.
*

Leads end-user design and validation meetings and supports roll-out of new implementations and upgrades by coordinating end-user acceptance testing, design of training modules, integrated testing and command center support.
*

Supports live applications and sites by scheduling on-call support, monitoring the team s Help Desk tickets, and coordinating the work of the team members.
*

Advises users and committees on information systems issues.



POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:



*

Leads team of analysts and project leads supporting the Epic Ambulatory and HIM modules
*

Able to lead medium to large sized teams through large complex projects, which may include several sub-projects led by others* Authors and maintains project plans, task lists, issues lists and status reports
*

Facilitates process and workflow discussions
*

Applies project planning and project management methodologies
*

Understands overall IT business functions and functions of our customers
*

Tracks issues and problems through to their completion
*

Assists with system testing and execution* Facilitates development of policies and procedures
*

Facilitates and prepares education materials
*

Provides on-site user support during implementations
*

Follows Change Management processes
*

Handles multiple assignments simultaneously
*

Learns and understands user department practices and procedures
*

Takes on-call for support as required



POSITION QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

KNOWLEDGE:

*

Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, information systems or health care related field* Minimum 7 years of experience of application system implementation or support experience
*

Experience with one of the following Epic modules highly desirable: EpicCare Ambulatory, Chart Tracking, Release of Information, and Hospital Coding, certification optional
*

Experience working in a hospital or other health care organization desirable



SKILLS:

ABILITIES:

Well versed in overall business functions
