JOB DESCRIPTIONSENIOR APPLICATION COORDINATOR (AKA SENIOR ANALYST)
INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY (IS develop system specifications, perform system design across a variety of applications, and execute system test plans; anticipate problems; provide solutions to complex problems with the necessary priorities to the clinical partners; manage components of medium to large size, complex clinical system projects; provide mentoring of system analysts, and provide support of others on clinical system projects; develop detailed system selection criteria based on functional and technical requirements; build effective relationships with the clinical partners (physicians, nurses, technologists and other care givers) in the specification, design and testing activities, and present ideas clearly and concisely.
* A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field / clinical specialty (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
* At least 4years' experience, in a hospital/acute care environment as an employee or consultant, with EMR software application implementation(s) and all phases of a System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and/or project life cycles.
* An existing Inpatient Epic EMR certification is strongly preferred, especially Optime or Willow. Training for other certifications will be offered as appropriate.
