JOB DESCRIPTIONOur client, the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch (AFHSB), strives to be the central epidemiological resource and a global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces. The AFHSB provides timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive health surveillance information in order to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations.
The AFHSB is seeking an Epidemiologist to aid in its mission.
• Identify, characterize, localize, and track all biological events of concern to the DoD. This includes integrating and analyzing data relating to human health, animal, plant, food, water, and environmental domains
• Integrate this information into concise informational products for an audience of DoD and interagency partners.
• Serve as liaison with other sections at AFHSB, CCMDs, Services, and interagency partners
• Master’s degree in public health or related biosurveillance discipline
• 2+ years public health experience
• Preferred: Active Top Secret Clearance
