The Keystone Adventure Center is home to the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor ice rink in North America, which is open from late-November through early March. In the summer months, the Adventure Center is a center for family fun with boat and bicycle rentals. The Adventure Center team strives to provide a magical experience to our guests each and every day. The Adventure Center equipment operator helps to ensure guests have the best experience possible on our five acre ice rink in the winter and also assists with summer operations. Job Requirements Provide excellent guest service to all guests at the Keystone Adventure Center Snow removal and ice resurfacing on Keystone's outdoor ice rink (advanced level) Provide training and assistance to entry level equipment operators Responsible for getting the ice rink up and running for the season, including running electrical lines for lights through the lake, setting up hockey boards, and a 26 Christmas tree Responsible for breaking down the ice rink at the end of the season Maintenance and upkeep of Adventure Centers facilities and equipment Shoveling and other outdoor maintenance and upkeep as assigned by manager Monitor ice rink to enforce rules and safety guidelines in the winter Monitor ice rink/lake to enforce rules and safety guidelines; respond to any safety incidents on the lake or surrounding areas Ability to be self-motivated and stay on task with little supervision Assist with getting the lake ready for summer operations Complete cash and credit card sales and returns on point of sale Assist customers with bike and boat rentals Light cleaning and basic maintenance Other duties as assigned Ability to assist Adventure Center management as needed or requested Job Qualifications Advanced level operator of all ice rink equipment, including but not limited to: Zamboni, Bobcat, John Deer, ATV required Experienced in maintenance for natural, outdoor ice rink required Previous heavy equipment operation experience required Valid US Drivers License and acceptable driving record required Intermediate level or above ice skater required Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays required Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs required Ability to work outdoors under inclement weather conditions for long periods of time required Knowledge of ice rink maintenance and Zamboni equipment required Previous guest service experience required Knowledge of boats and bicyclespreferred Were looking for team members who are passionate about their work and the world around them, who take pride in ensuring our guests receive the best possible service, and who bring a sense of self and fun to all they do.
