Construction Estimator

STRUCTURAL collaborates with clients to improve infrastructure by combining our award-winning specialty construction, repair and maintenance services with our proprietary technologies to provide innovative solutions for demanding engineering and construction challenges. We are recruiting for a Construction Estimator to join our office in Sarasota, FL. As an Estimator for STRUCTURAL, you will estimate commercial repair/restoration projects including concrete repair, masonry restoration, and waterproofing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to preparing estimates by calculating various statistical data such as quantity take-offs, material price lists, labor costs per man-hour and equipment costs and applying to complete scope of work; defining and quantifying scope of work and preparing comprehensive conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates for projects; reviewing/researching historical data and compiling summary reports to develop guidelines and precedence for future estimates; and maintaining involvement in uncovering sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers. Candidates who meet the following criteria will be considered for this position:- 5+ years of construction estimating experience in the concrete/masonry repair and waterproofing industry
- Prior experience estimating for a self-perform contractor
- A strong understanding of the Florida restoration market, including current market prices and clients (e.g. engineers, property managers/owners) in addition to strong knowledge of building envelope and facade restoration
- Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management may be given preference
